SpaceX Falcon 9 launch

On Monday 24th March 2025 a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida and generated sightings and media interest across the UK. It is easy to see why so many of us were startled by the dramatic shapes it created as fuel was ejected and created ice crystals, forming a spiral as the spacecraft spun. These images were taken at 8pm over Cheshire and show the variety of shapes seen as the spacecraft traversed the clear sky from West to East for just over 10 minutes.
