Evaluation of “Grey Triangular UFO” over Southampton 29/10/2023 – Now identified?

We had an interesting case submitted to us at BUFORA just recently, and whilst there have been many sightings of triangular shaped objects in our skies going back for quite a few years, this one was particularly well described and came with a short video clip & a nice, clear and helpful sketch. He also contacted Southampton airport who had no information regarding this object and said “it would most likely not be known to us”.
Reproduced with the kind permission of the witness, here is his written account below, followed by our evaluation, and his subsequent gracious response to us.
Written account:
I went out of the back door at 05:30 am to put something in the bin. The Moon was bright and Venus was to its left, in a clear but dark sky. I noticed 3 unusual lights, lower than the Moon andVenus, to their left. Left and right were green strip lights (lines, not dots) and in the middle of them was a red lamp light. I could only see lights at this stage and wondered what kind of aircraft would be so low and also break the regulation requirements to have a red navigation light on one side and a green one on the other.
I called my daughter to come out and corroborate what I was seeing flying slowly towards us. She was slow but watched it too. As the lights came closer, we could see it was a triangular vehicle or aircraft with a red light in the underside centre of the triangle. The two green lights ran along the front wingtip edges. The vehicle was passing lower than commercial passenger planes fly and was slow, moving without discernible noise in a straight line.
It flew over our heads at about 1,000 feet and we could see a grey triangular fuselage. It passed over the roof line and headed away, in the direction of the main airport in the region (Southampton Airport). After seeing the craft, I looked online and the closest man-made aircraft is the Northrop B2 Spirit stealth bomber.
What we saw looked similar but the back of the triangle looked more filled out (no zigzag pattern noticed) and the leading edge green lights were not shown in B2 pictures. It acted like a glider, slow and quiet, but it was a large(about 140 ft wide), dense aircraft which must have weighed at least 60 tons at a guess and I would have expected it would need a loud jet to stay in the air at what looked to me like stalling speed. Muted sound, no flames, no trail, just a large grey triangle that went on its way.

Thank you for contacting BUFORA with details of your sighting, sketches and video, and many thanks for your kind donation to our voluntary organisation.
Unfortunately the short video shot in low light conditions is understandably of low quality and is therefore insufficient to make an identification from that alone, but having read through your sighting report and looked at your diagrams, my thoughts are that what you saw in the sky on that occasion is very similar to, and could easily have been a TR-3B Black Manta (which is actually grey). I attach some links showing & describing this below.
A surprising amount is now known about what has been described as "the worlds most secret plane" since development started in the late 80's/ early 90's, and this (or a similar predecessor) could have been responsible for the "Belgian Triangular UFO wave" of that time.
Allegedly the top-secret plane, which can be manned or unmanned, is Nuclear powered using a mercury plasma reactor which creates a vortex field neutralising 89% of the gravity field, therefore it can silently hover or accelerate to Mach 9 in the blink of an eye.
Sightings of this (or something very similar) are now becoming more common, below is one from the UK in 2014..
and here is a YouTube video showing the same thing, including a mention of it being sighted over Southampton in 2008..
So in conclusion, whilst I cannot make a definitive identification of the triangular flying object you observed on that occasion, I can say that it is entirely consistent with what has been reported and photographed to be a 'top-secret' TR-3B stealth spy plane.
It does not surprise me to hear the 'not known' response from Southampton Airport as a craft like this will have no need to land at any commercial airport, and I expect it's operated out of the high security military facility known as 'Skunk Works' or Area 51 in Nevada USA or similar, but will be capable of getting to anywhere on the planet in a very short time.

The witness’s response:
Hi Mark.
Thank you for this. The Virginia USA clip looks like the same aircraft. In several clips it was the same grey colour. The large red lamp in the centre of the underside is identical. None of the clips showed the green strips along the leading edge of wingtips.
